Staying home alone all day is boring. Unfortunately, boredom can cause bad behaviors like destructive chewing, digging, licking, scratching and barking. Doggie Daycare at Pembroke Animal Hospital allows your pup to spend their day playing and socializing with other canines and our staff of dog-lovers!
We refer to our daycare as a “wild child” daycare. We let them tell us what they want to do for the day such as how long they want to be out (anywhere from 45 minutes to 2+ hours) and what kind of play they are feeling that day. Everyday is different and some dogs change up their days so we accommodate and make a plan for what the day brings.
We have indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy. We make groups based off of play style and temperament, with varying play times. Everyone goes out together and rests together within their group to keep everyone on the same energy and play level.
We let the dogs be dogs. The outdoor areas are a little bit of grass and a lot of dirt. They do get dirty, sometimes even muddy, but they love it. It’s what makes us the most fun!
Requirements for Daycare:
All participants must be up-to-date on Rabies, Kennel Cough, and Distemper vaccines. Because of the grassy, wooded nature of our daycare yard, the Lyme Disease and Leptospirosis vaccines are strongly recommended. Flea and tick prevention should be applied monthly. A stool sample must be examined and found negative for intestinal parasites. It is also important to give your dog their monthly heartworm/intestinal parasite preventative. We also require that all dogs over 6 months of age be spayed or neutered.
HOURS:
Monday- Friday: 7:00 AM- 6:00 PM
All dogs need to be dropped off by 10am. Dogs will not be allowed to play after this time.
