Veterinary Assistants/Technicians

ShayShay started at Pembroke Animal Hospital in August of 2006 as a patient care technician.  She became a veterinary technician in 2009.  It is her passion to know that she helps sick animals feel better - it's the best feeling in the world.  She loves that she can help patients feel more comfortable and safe, even during routine examinations and vaccines.  She shares her home with her bull terrier/jack russel terrier mix, "Kenzie".  Kenzie was rescued from Peace and Paws, a local dog rescue.  Kenzie is about 2 1/2 years old and they love to go hiking and out on the boat together.
describe the imageCrystal has been working at Pembroke Animal Hospital since 2002. She has 3 pitbulls that are like her children - Peanut, Sully and LuLu. She also has an english pointer named Skipper that she and her husband go hunting with. She is currently attending school with the hope of becoming an RN. In her spare time, she loves being outside with her dogs and enjoying a good game of catch!
AubreyAubrey was born and raised in the state of New Hampshire. Growing up as a kid she was a member of both the horse and dog 4-H programs. At age 12 she became known as the neighborhood "pet person". Much of her time when she was not in school was spent walking and caring for other people's pets while they were away. In high school she started traveling around to different AKC dog shows, spending time in the junior handler's ring as well as conformation rings. Her love and passion for working with animals has led her to her current position as a vet tech at Pembroke Animal Hospital. Aubrey shares her heart and home with her cat Ted, dog Violet, and fish Julio. In her free time she enjoys hiking and spending time by the ocean.
KaraKara lives in Sanbornton on her 6 acre sheep farm, Beige Acres Farm.  She has many other farm animals ranging from tiny baby bunnies to the two horses that roam the fields.  Throughout her childhood she showed registered Hampshire sheep for 11 years polled herefords for 5 years through 4-H.  She also used to show her chickens and rabbits at fairs all around New Hampshire.  Kara graduated from college with her veterinary technician degree.  Between her time as a 4-H leader and juggling 3 jobs she barely finds time to go horseback riding on the weekends and hiking in the afternoons.
Wendy

Wendy has been working in the animal field for 20 years as a vet tech and loves her career. She moved up to NH 5 years ago from MA, and has 2 boy kitties, Puma & Hudson which she rescued from the streets. She is also a volunteer member of NHDART (NH disaster animal response team) and volunteers her time with local rescue groups and shelters, and also teaches groups on animal preparedness in times of disaster. She loves to read, enjoys the outdoors and has dedicated her life to helping animals of all kinds and finds it very rewarding and fulfilling.
